WI-IL State Line Fishing Report 12/7/14

Well the little bit of ice we had up here by the state line is either gone or will be very soon, there was a few places with 4″ or better, Camp Lake where a few decent pike & lots of hammer handles were caught, Neilsons Channel was busy as usual early in the season, lots of small panfish with a few decent fish taken, Pederson Park Pond in Antioch had quite a few people out, again lots of small pannys & perch caught with a few nice perch mixed in, Racine & Kenosha Harbors were both locked up but no safe ice, guys were staying on the piers & drilling holes, there was some nice Pike caught in both harbors as well as mostly Brown Trout with a few Steelhead mixed in.. Also heard a few reports out of Lake Geneva of some nice perch being caught from shore in Town and off whats left of the pier in Williams Bay. Haven’t heard much from the guys trolling for those monster Walleye at night on Geneva, But I did see a post on one of the forums i follow of a nice 8lber caught, As for myself, I tried a few of my honey holes on the Fox River on both sides of the border from shore, picked up 1 small white bass for my efforts.

While we patiently wait for a cold snap & some safe ice THE 2014 MILWAUKEE ICE FISHING & WINTER SPORTS SHOW is coming to the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds in Milwaukee, Dec 12th – 14th..
